METHOD OF INCREASING EFFICIENCY OF TARGET DESTRUCTION BY FUEL-AIR EXPLOSIVE WEAPON Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC F42B12/32 F42B12/50 F42B12/66 F42B10/00

Abstract RU 2602637 C1

FIELD: military equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment, in particular, to means of destruction of personnel located in shelters, hard points by a fuel-air explosive weapon. Method of increasing the weapon efficiency including a rocket, the ammunition load of which is formed by a single-phase fuel-air explosive mixture and is placed in a thin-walled casing. Ammunition load is equipped with a fuse and its actuation delay unit installed in the bottom part of the casing. Ammunition used comprises several cassettes, housings of which are filled with a fuel-air mixture, in flight the cassettes are stabilized by fins, the fuel-air mixture at their approach to the target is dispersed by actuation of dispersing charges providing its simultaneous detonation by initiating charges of each of the cassettes. Herewith mechanical connection between casings of the cassettes and electric connection between the dispersing and the initiating charges are provided by a wired communication line - a coupling.

EFFECT: proposed method enables more effective destruction by a fuel-air explosive weapon of targets arranged in large areas due to more extensive distribution of the fuel-air mixture within the air space.
