FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a polymer emulsion based on cardanol and castor oil from biomass. Method involves dissolving cardanol in a solvent a, adding sulphonating agent and strong base, facilitating reaction and cooling, adjustment of pH value and facilitating reaction again, cooling overnight, filtration, dissolution of solid substance, washed with solvent a, in anhydrous solvent b, adding modifier and triethylamine, and conducting a polymerisation reaction for producing emulsifier based on cardanol; after modification of castor oil with maleic anhydride, method includes adding isocyanate, catalyst and a chain extender for polymerisation to produce polyurethane prepolymer based on castor oil; adding an acrylate monomer and water to a polyurethane prepolymer based on castor oil and emulsifier based on cardanol, ensuring swelling, raising temperature to 70-90 °C to facilitate reaction, adding an initiator to initiate polymerisation to obtain said emulsion based on biomass.
EFFECT: obtained polymer emulsion has a wide range of applications, is incombustible, non-toxic, environmentally safe, resistant to various effects.
