FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and immunology. Antibodies are described, which specifically bind with P-selectin, block binding of PSGL-1 with P-selectin and cause dissociation of previously formed complexes of P-selectin/PSGL-1. Previously unknown binding domain of antibody near N-end (conformational epitope) of P-selectin is described, which antibodies bind. Disclosed antibodies bind with conformational epitope of P-selectin and have double blocking function, consisting in binding of PSGL-1 with P-selectin and dissociation of previously formed complexes of P-selectin/PSGL-1. This double function of P-selectin antibodies and their binding fragments can be used in treating various acute and chronic inflammatory and thrombotic diseases and states.
EFFECT: proposed invention can be used in medicine.
