FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a diene polymer, a method for production thereof, a polymer emulsion, a rubber mixture and pneumatic tyre. Diene polymer is obtained through radical polymerisation of a radical polymerisable monomer in presence of a polar functional group-containing thiol compound. Diene polymer contains a polar functional group at end of chain and has molecular weight distribution from 2 to 6 and peak molecular weight of 150,000 to 500,000. Polar functional group-containing thiol compound has formula (1)X-R1 -SH, where X is an ester group, hydroxyl group, carboxyl group, amino group or alkoxysilyl group and R1 is alkylene or arylene group which can have a substitute.
EFFECT: invention improves processability of polymer, saves fuel and improves adhesion with wet road surface.
