FIELD: modified liquid diene polymers.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a modified liquid diene polymer and a rubber composition. A modified liquid diene polymer is described, which provides the production of a cross-linked product from a rubber composition, which contains a filler in a dispersed state. Described is a modified liquid diene polymer (B1) for obtaining a cross-linked product containing a modification product with a silane compound described by the presented formula (1), a liquid diene block copolymer (B'1) comprising a polymer block (b'1) consisting of butadiene units , and a polymer block (b'2), where the modified liquid diene polymer (B1) contains a functional group derived from the silane compound described by the formula (1), and the modified liquid diene polymer (B1) satisfies the following characteristics from (i) to (iv): (i) the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the modified liquid diene polymer (B1) is in the range of 1000 to 120000, (ii) the vinyl content of the butadiene units in the polymer block (b'1) is in the range of 50 up to 100 mol %, (iii) the polymer block (b'2) consists of butadiene units, characterized by a vinyl content in the range from 0 to 20 mol %, and (iv) the average number of functional groups per molecule of the modified liquid diene polymer (B1) is in the range from 1 to 20. Alternatively, a modified liquid diene polymer (B2) is described for obtaining a crosslinked product containing a modification product with a silane compound described formula (1) below, a liquid diene block copolymer (B'2) comprising a polymer block (b''1) consisting of butadiene units, and a polymer block (b''2) wherein the modified liquid diene polymer (B2 ) contains a functional group derived from a silane compound represented by formula (1), wherein the modified liquid diene polymer (B2) satisfies the following characteristics (v) to (vii): (v) the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the modified liquid diene polymer (B2) is in the range from 1000 to 120000, (vi) the polymer block (b''2) consists of isoprene and (vii) the average number of functional groups in the calculation per molecule of the modified liquid diene polymer (B2) is in the range from 1 to 20. where R1 is a C1-6 divalent alkylene group and each of R2, R3 and R4 is independently a methoxy group, an ethoxy group, a methyl group, or an ethyl group, with the proviso that at least one of R2, R3 and R4 is a methoxy group or an ethoxy group. Also described is a rubber composition containing a modified liquid diene polymer, a cross-linked product from it and a tire, which includes a section containing this composition or this cross-linked product.
EFFECT: providing improved properties such as wet grip and abrasion resistance.
