SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fluorescent whitening agent composition suitable for optical whitening paper or cardboard. Composition contains specified bis- triazinylamino-stilbene fluorescent whitening agents with carboxylic acid and/or sulphonic acid groups. Composition can be used for whitening paper in pulp, size press or by coating.
EFFECT: invention provides high degree of whiteness of paper and stability of aqueous fluorescent whitening agent composition.
