FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to regeneration of process solutions. Method of regenerating solution for removing cadmium coating, containing ammonium nitrate 100-200 g/l, involves electrolysis of solution to be regenerated in two-chamber electrolysis cell with cation-exchange membrane, cathode made of stainless steel and platinised niobium anode. Electrolysis is carried out at current density on electrodes of 1-3, 5 A/dm2, anolyte used is regenerated solution, and catholyte used is a solution containing ammonium nitrate, and gas released on cathode is fed into anolyte. Method is implemented in a device comprising a two-chamber electrolysis cell with cation-exchange membrane, stainless steel cathode and platinised niobium anode, and a bubbler installed at bottom of anode chamber and configured to feed gas released on cathode into anolyte.
EFFECT: invention enables regeneration of a solution to remove cadmium coating and prevents possibility of contamination of regenerated solution with foreign ions.
