FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, namely to armour-piercing ammunition, namely to apparatuses with jet engine, launched from the gun barrel. Armour-piercing ammunition includes case with propellant charge and projectile. Latter includes tray, fixed in it armour-piercing core from material of high strength and density and bottom gas generator. Armour-piercing core has commulative recess with an explosive charge VV and means for its detonation connected with cylindrical cavity of bottom gas generator, filled with pyrotechnic composition, and is equipped with jet stabilizer. Latter is formed by flat gas jets effusing during operation of the bottom gas generator.
EFFECT: increases value of penetration and probability of hitting armored target at long range.
