FIELD: geology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geology and can be used for forecasting and prospecting hydrothermal ore deposits of minerals. Essence: geomorphological and geologic features of the Earth's crust in search territory are detected and analyzed. For this purpose means of remote space probing are used, presented in form of digital elevation model of investigated area. Image, obtained within digital elevation model, is digitized and its structural elements are determined, which are potentially transport infrastructure of paleohydrothermal system. Wherein territory is covered with rectangular openings, for each of which values of Minkowski fractal size (Dm) are calculated. Openings of coating are classified using algorithm of Jencks natural borders with number of classes preferably from 5 to 7. Classes of openings with low values of Minkowski fractal size are considered "empty" and classes of openings containing large number of skeletal elements in their best "connectivity" are considered "promising" and they are recommended for field searcher.
EFFECT: technical result is upgraded reliability of forecasting and search operations.
