FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering and can be used for machining small length parts by depth grinding with a wheel periphery at forming control programs of treatment. Method involves treatment process control, where imparted is a longitudinal feed to the work table with a treated part and provided is a longitudinal feed rate of change at sections of cutting in and out of the grinding wheel divided into equal legs. Control over the treatment is carried out by maintaining a constant level of the second metal removal throughout the length of the treatment. Rate of longitudinal feed of the table with the part at the sections of cutting in and out of the grinding wheel is changed proportionally to the ratio of maximum depth of grinding at the section of cutting in or out of the grinding wheel to the actual depth of grinding at the end of each leg of the section.
EFFECT: as the result provided is higher efficiency of parts treatment due to program control over the second metal removal.
