FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used as quick-acting electromagnet drive in electric motors requiring fast braking and shaft mechanism retention in electric hoists, elevators, machine tools, etc. Forced start asynchronous motor electromagnetic brake drive includes single-phase bridge rectifier, three-phase asynchronous motor stator winding is connected in star, beginning of winding phases are output to terminal box leads for connection to three-phase alternating voltage source. In series with one winding phase single-phase bridge rectifier with electromagnetic drive winding is connected. Three ends of three-phase stator winding are output to terminal box leads. Single-phase bridge rectifier input is connected to terminal box phases ends two terminals, and third terminal is short-circuited to one of phases ends terminals, forming "star" connection.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in reliability and service life.
