FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering. Method of determining specific filtration losses includes emptying of the channel, mounting steel box 1 of U-shape with its pointed ends 2 into bottom 3 and the channel slopes, air removal from steel box 1, pouring water through the throat from a graduated vessel, measuring and monitoring the water level with a piezometer connected with steel box 1. Simplified is the method of surveying works on determination of specific filtration losses for raw channels, as well as decreased is labor input. Besides, the process of surveying works and observations takes place on the shore in one point.
EFFECT: proposed is a method for determination of water losses for filtration from irrigation channels of meliorative systems.
