SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of generating a personalised search engine home page for a social network participant. Method includes identifying a named entity from social network data in response to a request for search engine home page by a social network participant, wherein a record in a plurality of user-generated records contains named entity. Ambiguity of named entity is eliminated based on content in other records in a plurality of user-generated records. In response to elimination of ambiguity of named entity, personalisation of search engine home page for social network participant is carried out based on a plurality of user-generated records and named entity, wherein personalisation of search engine home page comprises inserting a hyperlink into search engine home page. In response to detection of a hyperlink selection on search engine home page, search engine, corresponding to search engine home page, is caused to perform search of named entity.
EFFECT: technical result is providing personalised data based on social network data.
