SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to compositions of cast iron, which can be used for making parts of furnaces and thermal generating units. Cast iron contains, wt%: carbon 2.5-2.9; silicon 0.4-0.6; manganese 1.2-1.8; aluminium 2.0-2.5; copper 0.4-0.6; nickel 0.3-0.4; molybdenum 0.3-0.4; tin 0.001-0.002; vanadium 0.5-1.0; iron - balance.
EFFECT: technical result is high heat resistance.
