SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to compounds used in polymerized dental compositions for use as a sealant, adhesive, cement, fluid composite filling or filling material of the formula , where R₁ represents a straight, branchiate or cyclic alkyl group containing from 4 to 26 carbon atoms, so that the substituted saccharide compound is characterized by reduction of hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) equalling at least 2; R₂ represents an ethylene-unsaturated free-radically polymerizable group containing (meth)acrylate, vinyl or styryl group; R₃ independently represents hydrogen or an acidic group, wherein at least one of the R₃ groups represents an acidic group, at that, the acidic group is selected from phosphoric, phosphonic, sulfuric, or carboxylic acidic groups; and n is an integer ranging from 1 to 4.

EFFECT: there are presented new compounds effective for use in a wide range of dental compositions.
