MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING WITH SUPPRESSION OF FLOW ARTEFACTS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G01R33/565

Abstract RU 2605524 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for a body imaging by magnetic resonance (MR). Core of the invention is implementation of the following steps: a) generating at least two gradient echo signals in two different moments of time of echo occurrence by subjecting body area (10) to the effect of imaging sequence of radio-frequency (RF) pulses and switched gradients of magnetic field, herewith the 0-th moment of the read magnetic field gradient essentially disappears during occurrence of the first gradient echo, the 1-st moment of the read gradient is different from zero during the first gradient echo, herewith both the 0-th and the 1-st moments of the read magnetic field gradient essentially disappear during occurrence of the second gradient echo; b) collecting the gradient echo-signals, c) repeating steps a) and b) for multiple stages of the phase encoding; d) reconstruction of the first MR-image from the gradient echo-signals of the first gradient echo, as well as the second MR-image from the gradient echo-signals of the second gradient echo; and e) identifying artefacts associated with doubling of the image on the first and/or the second MR-image by comparing the first and the second MR-images.

EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of efficient compensation of the flow artefacts, especially for MR-angiography using a contrast agent, in combination with separation of water/oil as per Dickson.
