SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing polydienes. Method of producing polydiene includes steps of: (i) forming an active catalyst by combining a lanthanide-containing compound, an alkylating agent, and a halogen source in substantial absence of a sulphone, a sulphoxide, and a phosphine oxide; and (ii) polymerising conjugated diene monomer in presence of active catalyst and a polymerisation modulator selected from a group consisting of a sulphone, a sulphoxide, and a phosphine oxide. Disclosed is a version of method.
EFFECT: technical result is providing control of bulk polymerisation of conjugated dienes, catalysed by lanthanide-based catalysts.
