FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry, in particular to production of coal by coal mining combines. Coal mining combine comprises a body, supports and fixed at the body ends rotary cutting units with screws installed on them. Each of the cutting units bodies has a cylindrical cavity, inside which there is a hollow screw shaft, as well as an electric motor installed. Herewith on the outer surface of the hollow screw shaft, which is also the electric motor shaft, there is a set of permanent magnets for direct transfer of the torque onto the screw from the active part of the electric motor stator. Power supply and control of the electric motor are implemented from the control system converter installed in a separate cavity of the cutting unit body.
EFFECT: simplified design of the combines, lower labor input and costs of their production and operation, the possibility of using screws of different diameters to provide optimum operating conditions for the combine in different conditions and higher reliability of their operation.
