SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to aqueous compositions containing one or more hydrocarbons, having high stability at low temperatures. Described is a polishing composition containing from 10 to 50 wt% of water, from 10 to 60 wt% hydrocarbon component, containing alkanes, containing from 5 to 36 carbon atoms, from 0.1 to 10 wt% of one or more salts of C1-C6 organic acid, and additives, where total amount of ingredients is 100 wt%, and said composition has viscosity equal to 15,000 cP to 65,000 cP (by Brookfield viscometer at 20 °C). Described also is a method of polishing a finishing surface of a vehicle and a coating on at least one area of finishing surface of a vehicle.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a composition, stable during operation at low temperatures.
