FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary science, in particular, to a method of determining the state of structural-functional incomplete of liver in the newborn lamb. Method is characterized by determining the topography of the liver, histologically set structure of parenchyma and liver stroma, biochemically determined intravital blood values and by increasing of the morphometric parameters of organ during the topographical investigation, absence of structural-functional units on tissue level, vacuolization with optical enlightenment of hepatocyte cytoplasm, observing single islands of hemopoiesis in parenchyma and in case of insufficient globulin-synthesis function in the biochemically blood investigation is determined on the structural-functional liver incompletion.

EFFECT: invention usage allows to improve microbiology diagnosis of diseases of various aetiologies and correct technology of treating and feeding animals in order to improve their livability and growth, and development.
