FIELD: manufacturing technology; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices of materials properties study and analysis by determining their value of resistance to drilling and can be used to determine physical and mechanical characteristics of growing trees wood, timber, wooden building structures of various purposes. Device comprises drill bit with electric motor of its rotation, arranged on carriage installed on guides with possibility of reciprocal motion, front wall, drill bit radial displacement limiters and carriage feed electric drive output shaft speed transducer, connected to hardware and software system. Besides, device is equipped with drill bit rotation electric motor current sensor and rods, wherein drill bit radial displacement limiters are made in form of plates arranged between said carriage and front wall with possibility to displace along guides, each of said plates is rigidly connected with ends of at least two rods, opposite ends of which are connected with said carriage using limiter, a drill bit rotation electric motor current sensor is connected with said hardware and software system.
EFFECT: invention usage allows to increase accuracy of measurements, as well as reduce weight and overall dimensions of device design.
