FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ion-exchange materials and sorbents. Disclosed is a method of producing fibrous ionite for extraction of scandium, including amination of polyacrylonitrile fibre with 35–40 % solution of ethyleneamine at a temperature of 90–100 °C, and phosphorylation of aminated fibre with phosphorous acid in an acidic medium in presence of formalin at temperature of 90–100 °C for 4.5–5 hours.

EFFECT: invention simplifies technology of synthesis and increases selectivity of material to scandium ions.
