FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry. Method involves extractive rectification. Resolving agent used is sulfolane (SF), taken in ratio 1:2–3 to initial mixture in column (1) for extractive distillation with efficiency of 35–50 theoretical plates (t.p.) with reflux ratio in column equal to 1–2. Method comprises collection of butyl butyrate in distillate and a mixture of butyric acid – sulfolane in bottom of column (1), then mixture of acid – sulfolane is fed into regeneration column of resolving agent (2) with efficiency 10 t.p. with reflux ratio, equal to 1–3. Resolving agent is removed from bottom of column (2) and fed into column (1), wherein pressure in columns (1)–(2) is equal to 140 mm Hg.
EFFECT: invention provides simplification of technology and higher quality of obtained products.
