FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering. Invention describes method of power supply point (ESP) monitoring in power network (EVN), in particular, in low voltage area, wherein to power supply point (ESP) several first and second nodes (K11, K12, K13, K2) is connected or can be connected, corresponding nodes (K11, K12, K13, K2) are energy producer, energy consumer or producing consumer. According to method at power supply point (ESP) using measurement and control device actual current is recorded, which is current consumption or output. Current information (SI) obtained from one of said first nodes (K11, K12, K13) and which is planned and/or maximum possible current consumption or output by first node (K11, K12, K13), is processed by checking execution for value of specified criterion with respect to permissible current value (MW) in power supply point (ESP) indicated in current information (SI). Current permissible value (MW) is determined by difference between maximum current specified in power supply point (ESP) and actual current. Finally, depending on meeting or non-meeting of said criteria for first node (K11, K12, K13) message is sent, which allows or prohibits current consumption by node or current output by first node (K11, K12, K13).

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of overloading occurrence probability at power supply point.
