FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic extraction of data from and tagging of a photo or video having an image of identifiable objects. Said result is achieved by extracting metadata from an image on geographical position, information on data and time when was captured. Image recognition is performed to identify one or more objects, shapes, features, or textures in image. Image is tagged using information or code related to one or more objects, shapes, features, or textures. Method then includes determining a corresponding detail of an identified object or shape of one or more objects, shapes, features, or textures by using information or code related to identified object or shape and geographical information to query at least one database for matching identified object or shape and location.
EFFECT: technical result is providing image identification by forming additional tags, describing images of objects on a photograph.
