FIELD: technology for measurement and control.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to controlling parameters of liquid media in reservoirs for industrial production. Method of controlling involves using at least the second pair of receiver-emitter forming with the first pair a quadrangle figure, horizontal sides of which are parallel to the liquid level, herewith additionally calculated are the values of energy characteristics of the Lamb wave propagating simultaneously both between each of the horizontal radiator-receiver pairs and the second vertical pair of radiator-receiver using the values obtained from at least one horizontal pair for determining initial and final values of the measuring scale other pairs, by means of which determined and/or measured are positions of the liquid level by height. Device for the level control comprising an acoustic receiver and a radiator, each of which is equipped with a piezoelectric transducer, mounted at a fixed distance from each other so, that the liquid level control zone is between them, to excite simultaneously a symmetric and an antisymmetric zero-mode normal Lamb waves, as well as it comprises at least the second pair of an acoustic receiver-emitter, a unit for generating and conversion of signals.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of control with simultaneous increase of speed and wider field of use.
