FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to control of technological parameters of liquid media in tanks for industrial production and can be used in chemical, oil and gas, food and other industries. Lamb wave characteristics control method employs ultrasonic acoustic transducers located on the outer surface of the tanks at a fixed distance from each other, corresponding to value greater than ambiguity zone, with formation of mutually crossing measuring sections by any two adjacent pairs of said converters; wherein for each measurement section, additionally calculating the sums of a number of evaluation functions, the arguments of which are current values of energy characteristics of signals obtained simultaneously on all measurement sections.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in validity, accuracy, quick action of measurement and wider field of use.
