SUBSTANCE: invention relates to downloading and installation of an application on a terminal device. Disclosed is a method of installing an application in electronic device. Method includes receiving an input command to download an application. Further, method comprises displaying a plurality of thumbnail images for a plurality of pages in which existing icons corresponding to previously-installed applications are displayed. Method also includes receiving input which selects a page on displayed page selection screen for displaying an identifier corresponding to said application, wherein identifier is displayed on selected page during or after loading.
EFFECT: optimising application installation in an electronic device due to that an application identifier is displayed on selected page during or after downloading.
