SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to fluorescein-containing novolacs. Described are fluorescein-containing novolacs of general formula (I)

where n=5-10, m=1, p:m=0.1–0.2, as cooligomers for producing cross-linked fluorescein-containing copolymers. Also described is a method of producing said fluorescein-containing novolacs, involving reaction of fluorescein and phenol in weight ratio of 5:95 to 40:60 with formaldehyde in molar ratio of phenols and formaldehyde 1:0.7 at temperature of 90–100 °C in an aqueous solution in presence of an acid catalyst, such as hydrochloric, phosphoric, oxalic acid. Invention describes a cross-linked fluorescein-containing copolymers of general formula (II)

obtained by curing said fluorescein-containing novolacs, as heat resistant construction polymers.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining novel fluorescein-containing cooligomers of novolac type, stable in synthesis processes, storage and processing, obtaining based thereon cross-linked copolymers, characterised by high heat resistance and strength.
