FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: method of mechanical connection of rubber-fabric conveyor belts includes handling, assembling and fixing the jointed ends of the belt. Belt end are handled in a stepped manner in such a way, that the number of the belt cord layers in the joint point exceeds the number of the cord layers in the other belt, and are connected by means of metal plates and connection bolts tightening them. In the joint middle part the connection bolts along the belt width are located more frequently than along the joint edges and in such a way, that any two points of their location are not on the line parallel to the belt lengthwise axis.

EFFECT: provided are: higher durability of the belt flight elements, easier and less labour-intensive process of belts connection.
