SUBSTANCE: invention relates to messaging systems and can be used as data transmission hardware for documentary information exchange in field communication systems. Technical result is achieved due to fact that small sized data transmission equipment, comprising interface unit, communication channel, error protection device (EPD), signal conversion device (SCD) and input/output device additionally includes subscriber line (SL) from the telephone apparatus of CB/ATS system, connecting line (CL) from automatic telephone station for long-range communication (LR ATS), automatic message switch (AMS), consisting of processor, random access memory (RAM), read-only memory (ROM) and two joint controllers, key input unit, information encryption unit, linear filter, reference frequency unit, remote control panel (RC), communication line connecting unit (CLC), the first and second linear inputs-outputs of which are connected to inputs-outputs of the wire communication line and multi-point communication line, speech device (SD), user filter and data terminal equipment (DTE), while input/output device is made in the form of control and monitoring unit, keyboard and information display device.

EFFECT: technical result consists in expansion of equipment functional capabilities, particularly new modes and types of operation in channels and communication lines with different speed of information exchange and required reliability of transmission with reduced weight and dimensions.
