FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to catheter with balloon and, in particular to rectal catheter with balloon. Catheter comprises rod and balloon element. Rod comprises tubular element passing from proximal end to distal end. Balloon element is installed on rod and comprises balloon channel. Rod is equipped with ribs in longitudinal direction on outer surface of tubular element so, that ribs are located under balloon element. Catheter comprises two narrow sections at location of balloon. First converging section is located between outer surface of catheter and fastening surfaces of balloon. Second converging section is located between fastening surfaces of balloon and converging surface of catheter.
EFFECT: invention allows to exclude sticking of balloon to rod during storage of the assembled catheter.
