FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to UV-curable coating composition, used, in particular, as floor coating. UV-curable composition in terms of total weight of UV-curable coating composition contains, wt%: acrylate component 65–85, photoinitiator 0.1–5, wax lubricant 1–10, amine synergist 0.1–5, abrasive 1–15. Acrylate component per total weight of acrylate component contains from 1 to 30 wt% silicone acrylate. UV-curable coating composition is configured to provide a cured coating, with limiting water wetting angle from about 85 degrees to about 120 degrees. Described also is a flooring, comprising a substrate and UV-curable coating composition, and method to improve operational characteristics of surface of flooring, such as resistance to scratching, resistance of flooring to wear resistance, degree of attracting dirt, capacity of flooring for cleaning and release of volatile organic compounds, by applying a UV-curable composition coating on substrate exposing coated substrate to at least one radiation source to form a cured coating.
EFFECT: technical result is improved resistance to abrasion, acceptable level of wear/scratching resistance, low ability attract dirt, high ability of cleaning and minimum formation of water stains, more than 5-fold reduction of release of volatile organic compounds from wood substrate with said coating.
