FIELD: physics, test engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test engineering, particularly to stands for testing worm gears. The stand comprises a base having installed on it an electric motor with a belt drive, two identical bevel gear speed reducers, coupled to each other by a torsion bar with a torque sensor for rotation thereof, second pinion gears of the bevel gear speed reducers are coupled by shafts with the worm wheels of the two identical worm gears under test, the worms of which via clutch couplings are blocked with sun gears of two identical planetary reduction gears, whose planet carriers are rigidly coupled to each other by a shaft having installed on it a driven pulley of belt drive.
EFFECT: invention is characterised by enabling measurement of actual torque on worms of each test reducing gear on both magnitude and direction.
