FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engineering survey in construction and can be used for determining deformation and strength characteristics of non-rocky soils in a well. Device for testing soils with a flat die in a well includes a die with a stripping device comprising a housing with slit-like holes and built-in blades. Blades are arranged so that at the die clockwise rotation the upper layer of the soil is cut and fed into the inner part of the housing, and at the die counterclockwise rotation the blades slide in to make a flat bottom. Die is mounted on a pipe string, the lower section of which is equipped with a thrust flange mounted with the possibility of axial movement along guides within the available clearances, and the top flange of the section is rigidly connected with a force sensor and a measuring inner hollow bar, through which the force sensor cable runs. On the upper end of the inner bar there is a bushing locked with threaded rods passing through longitudinal slots of the pipe string, on the protruding ends of which there are displacement sensors, and the reference system used for the sensors is the casing string flange.

EFFECT: technical result is providing the possibility of testing soils with a flat die at large depths in a wide range of ground conditions, improvement of reliability of obtained results.
