FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for vitrification of biological objects. The self-contained device for vitrification of biological objects using a cryogenic coolant has a coaxial design, which includes a cylindrical housing, inside of which there is a cylindrical coaxially extensible support, the end of which is connected to a collet clamp which provides fixation of the tube of a container with biological objects, a starts spring which interacts with a cylindrical support and provides movement of the container with biological objects into a vessel with cryogenic coolant through its mouth, a cylindrical heat insulation screen with a movable cover, a protective disc screen fixed on outer protrusions of the cylindrical housing, and a control button arranged in the upper part of the device.
EFFECT: invention improves reliability and reduces the weight of the device, increases its axial length when releasing the container with biological objects into a Dewar vessel and increases cooling rate thereof.
