SUBSTANCE: invention relates to selection of an attachment to an electronic message. Method includes steps of: displaying an electronic message in a user interface of a messaging application; displaying a most recently used (MRU) list of elements in user interface of messaging application when displaying electronic message, wherein MRU list contains a list of files, including files recently accessed from a first computing device, and files recently accessed from a second computing device; providing indications for least one file, wherein said indications show whether first computing device or second computing device most recently accessed said at least one file; selecting a file, which is displayed in MRU list; inserting selected file into electronic message; and sending electronic message to recipient, using messaging application.
EFFECT: wider range of means for electronic messaging.
