FIELD: drilling soil or rock.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to directional drilling wells. In particular, proposed is a system for determining a distance and a direction to the target well from the second well, where drilling is performed, containing: a casing string arranged in at least part of the target well; a drill string in the well, where drilling is performed, herewith the drill string performs measurements during drilling; an electric current source intended for excitation of current supply to the target well by direct electric connection with the target well; and an electromagnetic field measuring instrument in the second well. Herewith the system comprises an insulated wire and a electrode both arranged as far as acceptable in the well for establishing electric contact with the casing string of the target well and an additional insulating section in the casing string to provide more current directed to the nearest measurement zone. Herewith the electromagnetic field measuring instrument responds to the electromagnetic field and to radial gradients of the electromagnetic field created by electric current in the target well.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of determining the distance and the direction to the target well due to intensification of electromagnetic field in the target area of interest.
