SUBSTANCE: to search for topological defects, a certain number of possible problems is fixed, the control time is defined compared with the transition process time; an integral transformation parameter is defined; a test signal and signal integraal estimations are used; the system control points number is fixed; response of the object under test and response of a good system are recorded in the control points in a certain way; the output signal integraal estimations are defined and recorded; the system with nominal characteristics is replaced with a controlled system, a similar test signal is given to the system input; integral estimates of the controlled system signals are defined for each of the control points, their deviation from the nominal values and the standard deviations values are also defined. Integral estimates are defined of the model output signals for the control points and standard values in a certain way; diagnostic feature is determined, and according to its minimum, the topological defect is determined.

EFFECT: reduction of computational costs associated with the implementation of trial models with deviations.
