FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a housing, jaws, a jaw moving mechanism and locking mechanism. The jaw moving mechanism is made up of two gears which are in constant mesh. Each gear is rigidly associated with a respective jaw. The locking mechanism is designed as spring-loaded toothed discs. The movable disk is rigidly connected with the pinion gear. The fixed disc is made integral with the rod. The both discs are designed in such a way that they can rotate the movable disc when the jaws approach and lock when the movable disc changes its direction to the opposite.
EFFECT: improved operator safety during veterinary-sanitary measures.
