SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to rapid suspended powder composition for use as dry mortar. Described is a powder composition for use as dry mortar, which can be produced by bringing powder, which contains at least one inorganic binder, into contact with 0.01 to 10 wt%, based on total weight of composition, of a liquid component containing at least one copolymer, which can be obtained by polymerising a mixture of monomers, including (I) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of formula (Ia)

where R1 and R2 each independently denotes hydrogen or aliphatic hydrocarbon radical, having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, Y denotes H, -COOMa, M denotes hydrogen, cation of a monovalent or divalent metal, ammonium ion or organic amine radical, and is equal to 1/2 or 1, (II) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of formula (II)

where p equals an integer from 0 to 6, y equals 0, v equals an integer from 3 to 500, coefficients w are independently from each other identical or different for each unit (CwH2wO) and each denotes an integer from 2 to 18, wherein (CwH2wO) is a random ethylene-propylene oxide copolymer, having molecular weight of 160 to 10,000 g/mol, wherein molar fraction of propylene oxide units is from 10 to 30 %, in terms of sum of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide units, R1 and R2 denote as defined above, R3 denotes hydrogen, aliphatic hydrocarbon radical, having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical, having from 5 to 8 carbon atoms, optionally substituted aryl radical, having 6–14 carbon atoms, where liquid component contains from 1 to 60 wt% of at least one copolymer and from 30 to 98 wt% organic solvent. Also described is a copolymer which can be obtained by polymerising a mixture of monomers, including A) 50 to 95 mol% of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer of formula (Ia)

where R1 and R2 each independently from each other denote hydrogen or aliphatic hydrocarbon radical, having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, Y denotes H, -COOMa, M denotes hydrogen, cation of a monovalent or divalent metal, ammonium ion or organic amine radical, a is equal to 1/2 or 1, and B) from 5 to 50 mol% of at least one monomer of formula (III)
         
      
where R9, R10 and R11 each independently denote hydrogen or aliphatic hydrocarbon, having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, h equals an integer from 0 to 150, (CeH2eO)f denotes a random ethylene-propylene oxide polymer, wherein molar fraction of propylene oxide units is from 10 to 30 %, in terms of sum of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide units, and f is equal to an integer from 10 to 150 and e denotes 2 or 3. Described is a method of producing said liquid component and its application.
EFFECT: technical result is production of powder composition for use as dry mortar, which can be easily and uniformly dispersed by means of water.
