FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: reversing clutch comprises internal and external elements disposed around the rotational axis. One or more driving patterns are connected to one of the elements with the ability to rotate about separate axes of rotation. One end of each driving patterns can be moved between the first and the second positions of adherence with the corresponding adherence surfaces formed in the other element, and a position of release from another element permitting relative rotation of the inner and outer elements. A pair of magnets is placed at the opposite end of each driving patterns. Each magnet of the noted pair forms a pole linked with the driving pattern end and these poles have the opposite polarity. Electromagnetic actuator selectively creates magnetic fields of different polarity to move driving patterns from the release position to one of the adherence positions to allow rotation of the other element in any direction.
