SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method whereby for the laundry in a household appliance with a program control designed for linen care, the liquid detergent that is available in the tank for the washing solution is heated and the washing temperature is set. The parameters specific for the laundry items and/or specific for the device, in particular the washing liquid temperature are recorded, and depending on the parameters the washing liquid heating is carried out to establish a specific target temperature. The method is characterized in that during the phase of soaking, when the laundry detergent liquid is supplied to the washing solution tank for moisturization, heating device included in the appliance is activated for heating the washing liquid and by means of the heating device the washing liquid is heated to a temperature (Tn) of soaking phase which is lower than the target temperature (Tz), corresponding to the selected by the user washing mode. The method also preferably includes the control with the use of hot water, which during the soaking phase facilitates washing fluid heating to a target temperature.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of washing.
