FIELD: physics, instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: airfoil unit and the root platfroms for subsonic flow include a root platform and a bladed wheel foil of the turbine engine. The root platform has a surface located between the foils which is the surface thereof and which radially forms the interior of the gas leaky channels between the foils. The surface of the root platform has a peripheral recess extending between the front edge of the foil at its upstream end to 60% of the axial length of the foil at its downstream end. The skeletal curve is a curve showing the change in the foil skeletal angle in the cutting plane parallel to the surface of the root platform, depending on the position along the wheel axis. The skeletal linearized curve is a curve showing the angle change according to the position along the wheel axis which connects together points on the straight line showing the skeletal angle respectively at 10% and 90% of the axial length of the foil from the leading edge. Near the root platform there is a decreasing section of the skeletal curve which lies below the linearized skeletal curve and extends axially at least half the axial length of the recess. Other inventions of the group relate to the blade of the gas-turbine engine and to the options of the bladed wheel and the gas-turbine engine comprising the above foil unit and the root platforms.

EFFECT: group of inventions can improve the aerodynamic efficiency of bladed wheels of the gas-turbine engine.
