FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method for measuring the microwave signal power in a mismatched path is to feed the signal into the path from the microwave generator through special sections of the microwave transmitting line into the power meter and to determine the required value on the measurement results. In order to simplify the implementation and calculation of the required value, a section is used, the length of which is chosen equal to half the wavelength of the path or multiple to its odd number, and the power measurements are performed twice: P1 - before activating the section and P2 - after activating it (or vice versa). The required value Pc is determined by the formula: Pc = (P1+P2)/2. Furthermore, to ensure the frequency band, the said section is made for the shortest wavelength - (λw/2) minutes, and then shorter sections are added to it in accordance with the wave range and the required number of the measuring points, obtained by dividing each of the subsequent ones by 2.
EFFECT: reducing the calibtrated section number of the microwave path to one and the corresponding ease of the required power level calculation with the possible reduction of errors due to mismatch in the microwave.
