FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: natural oscillations are excited in adjusted ring resonator and each of ring resonator mirrors are consistently adjusted, wherein the adjustable mirror is moved in the ring resonator optical plane, at the same time intensity of radiation output from ring resonator is measured, and adjustable mirror contribution to ring resonator capture threshold is assessed, then the adjustable mirror is finely oriented to a position corresponding to the minimum value of adjustable mirror contribution to ring resonator capture threshold. Natural oscillations are excited in adjusted ring resonator in opposite directions, the adjustable mirror is moved in the ring resonator optical plane over a distance of one radiation wavelength, intensity of radiation exiting from the ring resonator is measured for waves excited in opposite directions, while the contribution of adjustable mirrors to ring resonator capture threshold is defined by field interference patterns contrast value of waves emanating from the ring resonator, and the phase shift between the extremes of interference patterns.
EFFECT: improved accuracy.
