FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: waves of internal oscillations are excited in a ring resonator with the help of external laser emission, and the value of the ring resonator hold range threshold is determined, which, when exceeding the permissible value, is the basis for the decision to reject the ring resonator. Additionally they excite in a ring resonator its internal oscillation in the opposite direction by means of return mirror installation near the outlet mirror of the ring resonator, and they measure time dependencies of intensities of opposite waves leaving the ring resonator, during longitudinal displacement of the return mirror by the distance exceeding the half of the wave length of laser radiation, and the value of the ring resonator hold range threshold is determined by results of measurements of time dependencies of opposite wave intensities.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of rejection.
