SUBSTANCE: control time is predetermined to search for the defect, considering the transient time for the nominal values of the parameters, the parameter of the integral signal transformation is determined, the number of the control points is fixed, the normalized deviation vectors of the integral discrete model output signal evaluations are predetermined, that are obtained from the test deviations in a certain way, the test signal is fed to the input of the control system with the nominal characteristics, the system responses are recorded in the control points, and the discrete integral evaluations of the output signals are determined, the integral evaluations of the discrete model are determined for each of the control points, that are obtained from each of the test deviations of the topological relation conditions, the deviations of the integral evaluations and the normalized values of the deviations are determined, the system with the nominal characteristics is replaced with the controlled one, and the test signal is fed to the input, the integral evaluations, their deviations and the normalized values of the deviations are determined, the diagnostic signs of a faulty topological connection of the system units are calculated, the topological defect is determined according to the minimum value of the diagnostic sign.

EFFECT: effectiveness of searching the topological defects in a discrete dynamical system with the arbitrary connection of units.
