FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes pre-measuring the reaction of a fully functional time-discrete system for discrete signal detection cycles with a discrete constant step on an observation interval at control points and repeatedly determining (simultaneously) integral estimates of output signals of the discrete system for discrete integration parameter values via, at the moment of transmitting a test signal to the input of a discrete system with nominal characteristics, simultaneously beginning discrete integration of control system signals with a step for integration parameters at each control point with weights with a step by transmitting control system signals to first inputs of multiplier units, transmitting, to second inputs of the multiplier units, discrete exponential signals with a step for discrete integration units; transmitting output signals of the multiplier units to inputs of the discrete integration units with a step; completing integration when estimates of output signals obtained from discrete integration are recorded; determining the number of considered separate defects of units; determining sign elements of signal transmissions of each unit which is part of the system for each control point; sign elements of signal transmissions are used in the disclosed method instead of changes to integral estimates of model signals for all control points, obtained for test deviations of parameters of units; determining normalised vector values of the signal transmission signs for each unit; replacing the system with nominal characteristics with the test system; transmitting to the input of the system an analogue test signal; determining integral estimates of signals of the test discrete system for control points and for discrete integration parameters; determining deviation of the integral estimates of signals of the test discrete system for control points and discrete integration parameters from nominal values; determining normalised values of deviation of integral estimates of signals of the test discrete system for discrete integration parameters; determining diagnostic features for discrete integration parameters; determining a faulty unit based on the minimum value of the diagnostic feature.
EFFECT: finding faults.
