FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: fibrous structure (200) for reinforcing articles made of the composite material is proposed, woven as an integral part by a multilayer weave between the first plurality of the filament layers (C1-C10) and the second plurality of the filament layers (T1-T10). The fibrous structure comprises a portion (204) of the reduced thickness, which has: a plurality of areas (210, 211, 212) removing filaments on the continuous surface, in each of them the filaments are interrupted (FC3; FC8; FC4) out of the filament layer (C3, C8; C4) of the first plurality of the filament layers that lie beneath the filaments of the first plurality of the filament layers, which are located on the structure surface; and a plurality of areas (220, 221) removing filaments on the discontinuous surface, in each of them the filaments are interrupted (FC1; FC10) out of the filament layer (C1; C10) of the first plurality of the filament layers located on the structure surface. Each interrupted filament (FC1; FC10) is replaced with a filament on the structure surface (FC2; FC9) out of the filament layer (C2; C9) lying beneath the first plurality of the filament layers. The filaments of the layers of the second plurality of the filament layers (T1-T10) located on the surface of the fibrous structure are continuous, at least, around the portion (204) of the reduced thickness.
